Mar, June 2013: New Videos on Pangolins & our Project

Bruno describes the special uniqueness but plight of the pangolin in Africa, our project's aims and work in a new video made with 'Follow The Spoor'. Watch his interview 'Pangolins next on the poaching shopping list?' on YouTube at: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CedprHjc26Q

Cia Nebe has also made a short documentary video of tracking a Namibian pangolin after its rescue by police from captivity, 'Tracking Zadie the Pangolin: Keeping Tabs on an Endangered Namibian Mammal'. It was created on the Mundulea Nature Reserve under the supervision of Pangolin Research Mundulea. Much of the footage of the pangolin, Zadie (named after British author Zadie Smith), is unprecedented and rare. This video gives the viewer a very good idea of the pangolin's RF tagging and release in Mundulea along with the real-life challenges of RF telemetry tracking in the field, see: http://youtu.be/PCsCfAIwPLk
